Meanwhile, I want to add another verse to her lovely little song, in honor of my service dog:

I was hurt and giving up,
God in wisdom sent this Pup;
My feet got a second chance;
Holding onto Dog I dance.

Of course anyone who loves a dog knows that dog is an expression of Divine Grace. But our service dogs bring that perception to an entirely different level. My life is, in so many ways, healed and restored through this amazing creature - a being created by God, and, as Wendy Francisco expresses it so well,

God thought up and made the Dog,
Dog reflects a part of God.
